Abalone Shell

Nicknamed the sea ears, the Abalone's flattened, oval shape with iridescent interior was used by the Native Northwest American Indians as a natural vessel for cleansing, offerings and prayers. Embracing the colors of the ocean, the shell displays iridescent colors in its blues, greens, purples and yellows. When dreaming of this unique shell, it represents something that is just for you, and you alone. It's uniqueness represents the individual embodiment of all the aspects of the water element from which it comes from, including love, beauty, gentleness, caring, comfort, peacefulness, delight and solace It is soft to the touch from repeated tumbling in the sand and water. Abalone is useful for handling and calming emotional situations and is very soothing to the mind/body.

The abdomen is considered the area of the body between the chest and the pelvis. It provides strength by fibers that criss-cross around the body. How do you see the abdomen in your dreams? It could be something you did not see coming.

The Dreamtime set the patterns of life for the Aboriginal people. Dreamtime is a sacred time in which ancestral totem spirits created the world. When you experience a dream with aborigines, it often symbolizes what makes any tribe superior and that is its strength. Every tribe has rules and those rules of upstanding rightousness, moral code, behavior befitting a tribesman, including respect, devotion and humility. Your dreams are telling you that you are ready. It is now important to take action in your waking life.

Suffering abuse in a dream has been associated with your lack of self-esteem. It is the "allowing of abuse" that you are quilty of. Why do you feel you deserve this? It is the inability to stand up for yourself and therefore, the "allowing" of others to take away your power or set boundaries for you. Freud's interpretation of an accident within a dream does not mean that there will necessarily be one in your waking life as a direct reflection from that dream. An accident dream would normally fall under the category of a warning from your subconscious mind telling you to steer clear of whatever was involved in the dream accident, but most of the time the dreams are not premonitions (although they can be). 1. Freud believes that this "accident" is more associated with the dreamer. The accident is symbolic of other content within the dream, so understanding the surrounding symbols will give you better understanding of its meaning. 2. The scale of the accident in your dream can be used as an indicator for the seriousness of the problem. If the acorns are green and you are picking them from the tree or the ground, you will delay your wishes as they have not come to fruition just yet.

Dreaming of someone you know that is not a close friend or family member should be looked within the context of the dream. How are you relating to this person? How are they being perceived in your dream? Are they a friend or a threat? Is this someone you detest or admire? In what way? Often people in our dream that we are not closely associated with often have to do with our desire to be associated with, be like or envy. It may have to do with who they are, how they behave or what they have.

Adam and Eve

The story of Adam and Eve is central to the belief that God created human beings to live in a Paradise on earth, although they fell from God's grace and caused the world suffering and injustice. This provides the basis for the belief that humanity was descended from a single pair of original ancestors. It also provides much of the scriptural basis for the doctrine of Original Sin. A dream of this infamous couple should be looked at in the context of the dream. The story is rich in symbolism including images of purity, falling from grace, the snake or devil, the apple and temptation.

Dreams about adultery or cheating tend to be common among both males and females. It is especially true for those in a committed relationship. It is not unusual to have fantasies about having sex/relationships with someone other than our partner. Freud focused much of his theories on the associations of sex in connection to everything we see and do. Adultery has a mysterious side and that is its relationship to the unknown, not known or curious nature of being human. That forbidden fruit theory can play out over and over in our dreams. If you see yourself doing this, there can be a certain ambivalence in your relationship. There may be a desire, not fulfilled in your waking life that gets its due in your dreams. Dreams as such, have the possiblity of turning into obsessions in our real life. Finding a balance is important for bring your current connection back into balance.

The aging process is a normal one. With age comes wisdom. With age comes an insight we do not see (or have) when we are younger. Our age can be interpreted through numbers but how we feel at any age is determined by our mind set, our outlook and the way we handle (or not) the process of "coming into our own." What is the aging dream associated with? Is in relationship to another? A group? Or a comparison to someone younger/older? Embracing the aging process is the key to any change. No matter how big or small in our lives. The one constant in life.... is change. How are you going to deal with it?

An agent is a person who acts on behalf of another. Dreams of negotiating with an agent of any kind can indicate change in your personal life or surroundings. Are you able to get help from the agent or are they a hindrance? Is there a contract involved? If so, is it beneficial for you or not? How does this relate to something you are experiencing in your real life? Are you negotiating a change at work? A new relationship? The idea of making a move? What does the dream indicate to you?

Air represents traits of rationalism, logic, intellect, analysis, judgement, curiosity, openness, ethics, fairness, and humanitarianism, as well as superiority, coldness, distance, abstraction, emotional illiteracy, and prejudice. Breath is life! Exchange of electrons. Flow of energy. Air is the primary nutrient. Survival without it is measured in minutes. It is so important that you do it without thinking. Your breathing is the voice of your spirit. It's depth, smoothness, sound, and rate reflect your mood. If you become aware of your breath and breathe the way you do when you are calm you will become calm. Dreaming of animals that fly can represent our desire to soar along with them. 1. Suffocation in a dream can indicate the stifling of our emotions, spiritual needs or that our intellect is not being used to its full potential. 2. Wind can have an effect in our dreams. What role does it play? A gentle breeze can indicate a soothing, comforting time. A windstorm, hurricane or gale can also be about a dangerous, uncontrollable situation. It can also refer to you bending to forces you find irresistible. Perhaps, in your dream, you see yourself as flexible! 3. Smoke, mist or haze all obscure our view, making it difficult to see what's in front of us. Flying debris can also indicate distractions in our life or being caught up in other's ideas or issues. 4. Sacred breath can manifest also as whirling mist or smoke, depending on its use in your dream. Is it the wafting smoke from incense? Or the cosmic breath, the Hindus speak of called prana? Or is it the energetic life force the Chinese refer to as Qi? Your dream can be about flying in the air or astral travel?

Dreams of airplanes are vast and varied. When you are on an airplane you do not have your feet of the ground, you less control, and because of this, there may be a trust/lack of trust (if the plane is going down). Traveling at great speeds and at great distances, airplane dreams can be associated with flying, but in a more contained manner. Is it smooth sailing or a bumpy ride? A dream where the dreamer is in an airport trying desperately to get on a flight can indicate a block in your waking life that is not allowing you to fly (freely) or be free in your life. What is stopping you from getting on? Moving forward or blocking your movement? Dreams of an airplane you are on that goes to a wrong destination is common and can indicate steps you may have taken in your life that have lead you down the wrong path. Are you up to the task? Are you taking on a project that you are ready for? If you drive the plane, then you are ready to take over and conquer the task you have been given. If you dream that you have to sit on the wing during the flight, you may have feelings of insecurity, poor working/living habits and others are starting to take notice. Perhaps you just do not fit into the "normal" way others seem to think is correct or sociably acceptable. Maybe you see things in a "different light" and may feel excluded from the group. Airplane Crash

Dreams of an airplane crashing have several interpretations and it is primarily associated with issues of control. If you are a passenger, you may feel that you have no control over your fate. This may be what you believe to be a problem in your waking life. Of course, you have much more control than you think you have, but it can be made to appear or make you feel as if you do not. It can be associated with your fear of crashing and burning in a goal you are trying to achieve. This fear is holding you back and it contributing to the problem. An airplane crash may also represent an overactive mind, and could be a sign for your to slow down. Are you too much "in your head"? Do you nee to ground your ideas or way of thinking? An airplane crash may also symbolize spending a lot of time worrying about insignificant things over which you have no control. Dreams of being the pilot of a plane is one of even greater responsibility. To the dreamer, the odds of failure are greater with even bigger consequences. If you are dreaming that you are piloting a plane that is going to crash, it may be an anxiety dream. Your fear of responsibility or fear of undertaking a project which is more than you can handle, maybe at the root of this dream. Dreams such as these are telling you how you are feeling, emotionally and not about what is going to happen in the future.

A sign of good luck, the albatross also has another connection. The word albatross is sometimes used metaphorically to mean a psychological burden that feels like a curse ("an albatross around your neck"). This refers to the poem, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, in which a mariner shoots the albatross with a crossbow, which is regarded as an act that will curse the ship (which indeed suffers terrible mishaps). To punish him, his companions induce him to wear the dead albatross around his neck indefinitely (until they all die from the curse). The albatross can be both an omen of good or bad luck, as well as a metaphor for a burden to be carried as penance. Birds, in general, are rich in dream symbolism. Birds are messengers and represent freedom and empowerment. They fly above and associate our connection between heaven and earth. In many cultures they are a symbol of the soul, as well as our conscious mind. Therefore, dreams of an albatross can show us our own personal connection between our conscious and unconscious mind. In flight, their outstretched wings show us the freedom we desire, as they glide over the earth expressing our unlimited possibilities we see in them. They have the ability to show us a "bird's eye view" of things.

Symbolic of aggression, survival, adaptability, the alligator and/or crocodile represent feelings or fears of being attacked or overwhelmed, possibly from within oneself. "That which lies in waiting, just below the surface" can pertain to our own subconscious mind and fears. The water, in which these prehistoric animals live, is also a symbol of our subconscious mind and emotions. Dreams of alligators can suggest danger lying in wait, ready to pounce. These "hidden" images or emotions can be deep-rooted in our own psyche, yet sparked by the dream of this animal totem. Considered a power symbol among Native Indians, as well as a symbol of power, life and fertility among the Egyptians, the alligator can also be interpreted as the one who makes things happen, the warrior or the ruler. Are you harboring repressed emotions, or is there a problem that was "let go of" that has now grown larger and more menacing? The alligator or crocodile is often hidden in the shadows. Dreaming about catching an alligator or crocodile can symbolize a regeneration of power, or a feeling of being in touch with powerful elemental forces. It can even symbolize reclaiming our own psychic capacity.

It can also indicate good news is coming from a surprising source, usually one you do not expect. Dreaming of someone at the altar, is a symbol of humility that is directed towards you. The power of prayer can go beyond our waking life to that area we trust the most outside ourselves. Learn how to create a sacred space or altar.

In a dream, amethyst is a gem symbolizing sobriety. It is a stone used for addiction and detoxing. It was one of the 12 stones set into the breastplate of the High Priest of the Temple of Jerusalem. It is regarded as a stone of nobility due to its rich hue of purple/violet, which is a natural phenomenon. A stone that relates to twilight and the transition from the knowing to the unknowing, amethyst is a stone of intuition and spiritual connections. Dreams of amethyst bring the desire to transmute, transform and ascend to a higher level in your life.

Anchors in your dreams have a sense of stability and security. Being anchored to the floor gives a sense of grounding and connection with ourselves. If we are achored to someone in our dreams, make note of who it is. Often an anchor associated with a person is not a good sign. As it has the connotation of not being a positive attribute and the person you are anchored to needs to learn more about the lesson of detachment. Other dream interpreters see this symbol as relating to being: 1. tied down. 2. stability. 3. power of determination and resolve from deep within. 4. desire to settle down.

Throughout history, there have been many documented events were an angel has come to a person in their dreams. Guardians and messengers from the higher realm, Angel's main purpose are protection, guidance, bringing peace on earth and appearing at turning points in our lives. When someone needs true direction and support, angels can bring comfort and life affirming hope. Angels have undergone many transitions and have appeared in many forms from winged guardian, mysterious stranger, benevolent animal to angelic guide and protector. Coming to us through dreams, in person, on a breeze or even through a strain of music, angels find a way to appear, where they are needed most. Other dream interpretors see angels as representing: 1. wisdom. 2. guidance. 3. a coming birth or death (literally or figuratively) Andrew has created a large catalog of the most famous and talked about angels in history and you can find them here, in the Angel Compendium.

In many cultures and especially the Chinese, Egyptian and Native Indians the respect, observation and emulation of animals is an important aspect of how to live life. Animals show us particular qualities, personalities and behaviors that we admire and mimic in our daily lives. Our relationwhip with them can teach us many traits including endurance, patience and balance. Considering the vast amount of animal species, the number of animal archetypes is immense. You may find that throughout your dreamtime and lifetime, different animals will come into your collective conscious. Ankh: (see also, Symbols)

Any symbol in a dream, must be looked at within the context of that dream. As symbols have many different meanings, it is best to discern how to interpret your dream by trying to understanding the connection between the symbol and it's dream meaning. The Ankh or Tau Cross, is an Egyptian hieroglyph meaning "life". This symbol is interpreted as the sun coming over the horizon, the male and female genitalia, the key to the gate of the afterlife and the union of heaven and earth.

Symbolic of a team player, a diligent worker and adaptability, ants show perseverance, reliability and enduring strength. Ants form a society which buid, survive and protect there own. Dreams of ants can often mean your affinity to your current situation. Based on your dream content, it may mean that you need to break free from the "routine" or mundane life. Ants can carry four times their weight but often your adaptability can create tension or physical wear and tear that can often break you down. Is your burden feel to heavy? Are you stuck in a routine? Or are you marching on to your goal or just meandering through life? Are you working as a team or do you feel alone? What is the nature of your current job? How is it effecting you?

Apes are Old World anthropoid mammals who are closest in makeup to man. And a dream about an ape also warns the dreamer to beware. Deceit goes with this dream. It can also indicate opposition in love.

No one was more infatuated with the psychology of sex in dreams than Sigmund Freud. In Freudian psychology, the phallic stage is the third stage of psychosexual development. It is the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, who lends her name to this list of foods that are supposed to increase libido and encourage seduction. Fertility, vitality and sexual power have always been the ultimate ruler over us, good and bad. It is finding the balance between lust and control, that should be the real goal. Consider these phallic enticers:

Almond - (female genitalia), this nut, like any seed, carries the potential for new life and is shaped like the Vesica Piscis

Aniseed - (the seed of life), this has been used to help digestion and considered by the Romans to be a useful ingredient in seduction, as it is used to sweeten breath.

Apple - Famous as the fruit that tempted Eve who then gave it to Adam. This juicy red fruit is considered a symbol of sexual awakening.

Asafetida - In Ayurvedic Medicine, this ground root of the fennel plant is used as a sexual stimulant. It is nicknamed the Devil's Dung, due to it's strong odor.

Avocado - (male genitalia), is considered a powerful aphrodisiac in Mexico, since this fruit "dangles" in pairs from the "testical tree". Avocado's textured skin adds a sensuality to this delicious, green temptation.

Banana - (male genitalia), probably the most phallic of all the fruits, the banana is said to encourage arousal just because of it's shape. The banana flower also resembles the phallus.

Cherry - This red, sweet and juicy fruit on the outside also contains the "stone" or seed of life inside, symbolizing new life. "Popping the cherry" is also slang for losing one's virginity.

Blarney Stone

The location of the Blarney Stone is in the village of Blarney about 5 miles northwest of Cork, Ireland. The Blarney Stone is a block of bluestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle. The Blarney castle and stone are one of the most popular tourist sites in Ireland, attracting millions of visitors from around the world who wish to tour the castle and kiss the stone. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of gab, eloquence or skill at flattery. The word blarney has come to mean clever, flattering, or coaxing talk. The name of the village Blarney is derived from the Irish word An blarna meaning the plain. The most commonly accepted story of the stone is that, in gratitude for Irish support at the battle of Bannockburn in 1314 (a Scottish defeat of the English), Robert the Bruce gave a portion of the stone to Cormac McCarthy, King of Munster. Installed at Cormac McCarthy’s stronghold, Blarney Castle, it became known as the Blarney Stone. A century later, in 1446, King Dermot McCarthy then installed the stone in an enlarged castle he constructed. During the time of Queen Elizabeth I, Dermot McCarthy, the ruler of the castle, was required to surrender his fortress to the Queen as proof of his loyalty. He said he would be delighted to do so, but something always happened at the last moment to prevent his surrender. His excuses became so frequent that the official who had been demanding the castle in the name of the Queen became a joke at the Court. Once, when the eloquent excuses of McCarthy were repeated to the Queen, she said "Odds bodikins, more Blarney talk!" The term Blarney has thus come to mean the ability to influence and coax with fair words and soft speech without giving offense. (See also Sacred Stones).

Blood is a life giving force. In Chinese medicine theory, it is the "Mother of Qi" and the life injecting force that gives us animation and energy. It Represents life, love and passion. On the opposite side of this, it also can represent disappointments. Symbolically, blood represents our emotional wakening. If you see words written in blood, it may refer to some situation in your life that is permanent and cannot be changed, such as an agreement or a sign. Blood is the spiritual connection to our sense of self and a power greater than our own. It is associated with anger. Unconscious anger toward someone in our waking life. The term there's blood on the wall indicates a particular idea or pattern that you need to confront. More specifically, if blood is on the bathroom walls, you need to confront an extremely emotional situation. We can sometimes have dreams of ourselves bleeding or losing blood. This can be a reference to suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally exhausted. It may also mean that there is a nasty confrontation that has or will occur between you and friends.

Women often dream of blood or of someone bleeding shortly before or during their periods or while they are pregnant. For a pregnant woman in particular, blood in dreams is symbolic of the life force that they are carrying. Such dreams are also a reminder to take things slow, both mentally and physically. To dream that others are bleeding signifies an emotional cry for help.

Dreams that reference you donating blood, may suggest that you are feeling physically drained due to stress. Extreme stress is often indicated when blood is squirting everywhere. There is blood on your hands and face, in your hair or all over your skin... the dream implies that you are experiencing deep emotional stress. To dream that you are drinking blood indicates that you have a fresh burst of energy and power. If you dream that you are coughing blood, then it represents wasted energy. You are spending too much time on counterproductive activities. Since blood is the physical forces of the body itself, it is indicative of relative levels of health or Imbalance. The Ideas of a person can be represented by the life giving force or vital force and strength (i.e., as In the strength which comes to us through the blood shed by Christ) Other possibilities: include kinship, as In "blood ties" or "bad blood" meaning animosity. When blood flows freely it indicates our positive intentions and right life path. (4). Blood that gushes outward or the hemorrhaging of blood is the lose of control and the feeling of being drained. It is a need for a change in your life. Blood stains are the lingering stains of jealousy and can mean you are slowing yourself down (if they are self inflicted) or someone wants to impede your wishes.

It is connected to the fast pace ideas and fast track life and our need for constant and continued movement. Are you dreaming of being in the boat? If you are on a lake, stream or pond, it often indicates your happiness and success in your waking life. If you are on an ocean, it represents a more vast view of your life and sometimes the impact of the overwhelming size of the ocean. Is the boat drifting? Are you drifting through life? With or without a paddle? With a paddle, you have possibilities. Without a paddle, well.... Is it a rough or turbulent boat ride? You are experiencing a "rough patch" or emotional turmoil in your waking life. If your boat feels like you are about to capsize, then you are in danger and need to take steps soon to avoid turning up side down. See also transportation.

Body Parts

The relationship we have with our bodies is often reflected through our dreams. Dreams of our bodies often equal dreams of our own self-esteem. In our current society, the attention brought to looking younger, slimmer and prettier has often driven many to anxiety, body dysmorphic syndrome, fad diets and excessive exercise. It has also done the complete opposite, as obesity is one of the leading causes of disease and death. These are some of the reasons why our body parts have become even more prominent in our dreams.

St. Brigid's Cross: (see also, Symbols)

Any symbol in a dream, must be looked at within the context of that dream. As symbols have many different meanings, it is best to discern how to interpret your dream by trying to understanding the connection between the symbol and it's dream meaning. The cross has long been a symbol associated with the Irish goddess, Brighid, who presides over home and hearth. The girl who was later adopted into the Christian faith as St. Bridget was said to have woven this cross in order to help a dying pagan solider convert to Christianity. Other legends suggest the cross is actually a wheel of fire. In parts of Ireland, Brighid is known as the triple goddess of the crossroads, representing heaven, earth and otherworld or the place where three worlds meet, and the year is at a crossroads between light and dark. She is also known as having two other sisters named Brigid and was an expert in poetry, divination and prophecy. Although predating Christianity, this cross was given the name of St. Brigid Cross. Together these four arms of the cross represent the cardinal directions and the four elements or four major holidays in the Wheel of the Year.

Broom: (see also, Symbols)

Any symbol in a dream, must be looked at within the context of that dream. As symbols have many different meanings, it is best to discern how to interpret your dream by trying to understanding the connection between the symbol and it's dream meaning. The broom or broomstick was originally made with a lightweight elm stick and the dried branches of the broom plant (hence its name). The act of sweeping was looked at as a way of cleansing your home of negative energy - sweeping from the corners out to the center and then out toward the direction of the door. It was also important that the person doing the sweeping would be cleansed as well. This sweeping was also done by midwives when a baby was born in order to clear it of any surrounding negative energy. Just married couples would secure their happiness by jumping hand in hand over a broomstick. The broom is a symbol of liberation, particularly for women, as it symbolized the freedom from daily chores and domestic drudgery. With her own magical broom, the midwife, wife or witch could fly anywhere, wield her power and reveal her true identity. All thanks to her broom!

Often a metaphor for your journey in waking life. Are you in an accident on the bus? Accidents are often fear related approaches to a situation? Are you lacking trust in this area of your life? As the driver of the bus, you are in charge of your destiny. Yet you may also feel responsible for others. Why is that? Are you carrying for a friend, family member or parent? Or are you just controlling the lives of those around you? Pay attention. If the bus is a double decker bus, then you are encouraged to look deeper than the superficial layer you are currently working on.

Footnotes on the Dream Interpretations

1. The Sigmund Freud Approach to Dreams

Freud remains one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. Freud's basic insight that our minds preserve memories and emotions which are not always consciously available to us has transformed the way humanity views itself ever since. Freud said that there had been three great humiliations in human history: Galileo's discovery that we were not the center of the universe, Darwin's discovery that we were not the crown of creation, and his own discovery that we are not in control of our own minds.

The tendency of modern people to trace their problems to childhood traumas or other repressed emotions begins with Freud. One of Freud's more important discoveries is that emotions buried in the unconscious surface in disguised form during dreaming, and that the remembered fragments of dreams can help uncover the buried feelings. Whether the mechanism is exactly as Freud describes it, many people have derived insights into themselves from studying their dreams, and most modern people consider dreams emotionally significant, unlike our ancestors who often saw them either as divine portents or as the bizarre side-effects of indigestion.

Freud argues that dreams are wish-fulfillments, and will ultimately argue that those wishes are the result of repressed or frustrated sexual desires. The anxiety surrounding these desires turns some dreams into nightmares.

2. The Carl Jung Approach to Dreams

Carl Jung is one of the most respected and recognized psychologists of all time. Many people know Jung as one of Sigmund Freud's followers and co-workers. Jung's emphasis in the field in psychology had to do with dreams. Jung developed many theories about dreams, a lot of them disagreeing with Freud. Jung was a great psychologist and psychiatrist that changed the ways of psychology today.

Jung thought that dreams were a tool to help us grow, not just to release extreme sexual desires. Jung felt that dreams were more than about sex, they were about life. Jung said that sexual drive doesn't even motivate us as much as the fear of death. Jung was an inspiration to all in the psychology field. His theories are instrumental in psychology and psychiatry fields today. He was a brilliant man not afraid to stand on his own for what he believed in.

It was Jung, a contemporary of Edgar Cayce's, who found convincing evidence for a deep level to the unconscious mind. This profound depth, Jung felt, came from a genuine spiritual reality that hadn't been acknowledged by Freud. Jung called this level the "collective unconscious." Here all minds could communicate through the use of universal symbols - images which seem to have a common meaning among people all over the world.

For example, a symbol such as a lion or a great cat has a universal or archetypal meaning of power and vitality. Birds frequently symbolize various kinds of love or concern; water is often suggestive of the Spirit itself. An old woman or an old man or a grandfatherly figure can symbolize our own "Higher Self' or our own internal wisdom. Myths or fairy tales often have similarities among cultures, and these similarities are shown through their universal symbols and themes. Sometimes our own dreams may contain these kinds of symbols.

Of course, not all the symbols and Images in our dreams represent the universal or archetypal. Many, if not most, are best interpreted by discovering the personal associations one has with that person or object. The dream symbol of a rifle, for example, would likely mean one thing to a gunsmith and something quite different to a victim of war.

3. The Edgar Cayce Approach to Dreams

Although it is true that many of us do not make a conscious effort to remember our dreams, everyone dreams. During the early part of this century, while psychologists such as Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung were demonstrating the clinical importance of dreams, Edgar Cayce was providing average individuals with guidelines for working with what has become one of the most practical approaches to dreams. Hundreds of Cayce's readings deal with the subject of dreams and dream interpretation. Perhaps the most important insights gained from the wealth of this material is the fact that each of us is aware of much more-about ourselves, our physical bodies, our surroundings, even our lifestyles-at subconscious levels than we realize when we are awake.

In the dream state we open our minds to many different levels of our own unconscious. Not only are all of our previous conscious experiences stored there, but it is also the storehouse of resources which rarely come to conscious awareness. The subconscious has remarkable talents for finding solutions to problems. It houses all of our wishes, hopes, and memories of past experiences, and can also assist us with self-examination, providing practical guidance for any question. It even makes it possible for us to have psychic experiences.

Dreams can diagnose the causes of our physical ailments, point out the thoughts and emotions that we've tried to overlook, and often make suggestions for improving our relationships with others. While dreaming, we can gain awareness about our entire being: physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Crystal Dreamcatcher Necklace

According to legend dream catchers, hung above beds and cradles, protect their sleepers from evil dreams. When dreams come to visit in the dark of night, the pleasant dreams pass through the web to the sleeper, while the nightmares become caught in the web to perish in the first light of the morning sun.

Designed by Native American Artist, Sandra "Windrunner" Brace, these beautiful electroformed silver dream catchers are threaded with genuine gemstones used to empower restful sleep, calm the mind of nightmares, bring powerful protection and encourage the recall of good dreams in the morning! These pieces measure 1 1/4 inches wide and are accompanied by a 24" silver electroformed cobra chain. Every single piece has gems uniquely placed in different parts of the web and no two are alike. Dream Catcher

To Native Americans, dreams were messages sent by sacred spirits. Dreamcatchers are an authentic Native American tradition, from the Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe. The people would tie sinew strands in a web around a small round or tear-shaped frame in a similar pattern to how they tied webbing for Ojibway snowshoes--and hang this "dream-catcher" as a charm to protect sleeping children from nightmares. According to legend, the hole in the center of a dream catcher web allows good dreams to reach the sleeper, while the web itself traps the bad dreams until they disappear with the first light of morning. Enjoy these beautifully hand crafted dream catchers and may all your dreams come true!

Angelic Dream Teas

Andrew has designed these wonderful, tea recipe blends based on their association with angels and the herbs and spices, which relate to them. These blends are a powerful mixture of rich tea leaves, herbal formulations and a touch of tender loving care!

Heart of an Angel Tea - It is often believed that when you smell the scent of roses, angels are not far behind! This delicate and soothing tea, brews fresh, petite rosebuds with healing olive leaves. "Crowned with the olive leaf garland of love, the Angel of Peace, thou hast waited too long!" There is an angelic vision of a "tree of life" whose leaves were for the "healing of nations." Today, as modern medicine increasingly embraces the power of herbs, it is interesting to visualize how angels are associated with these two peaceful and stress-relieving ingredients.

Angelic Calm - Brew and sip this aromatic peace of mind. Calming French lavender buds are accented with fresh flowers of chamomile and organic sage for a soothing cup of gentle stress relief. Reputed by some, to restore the soul, lavender's heady scent has made it the most popular aromatherapeutic herb on the planet and may just bring about your angel of peace!

Angelic Blend- This light and airy tea combines Angelica root, white peony, chrysanthemum flowers and linden leaves. Utilize this mixture to clear your mind, invite in a sense of calm and invoke your angels. This unique recipe is both grounding and mind stimulating!

Spiritual Blend- The power of the Higher self is recognized through this divine, uplifting mixture of spearmint leaf, blackberry leaf, wood betony leaf, linden leaves and flowers, rosemary, eucalyptus, ginseng and licorice.
